- New evidence has come to light suggesting that the present-day building I had denoted as the original 1879 Wiarton Woolen Mills is indeed not. This building is nowhere to be seen in 1939 and 1952 aerial photographs. It has also been suggested to me that it is an old barn that may have been moved to its current position and altered in appearance sometime since the late 1960s. I will continue to try and ascertain when the original mill structure was demolished and to identify the true origins of the building I had mislabeled. Any additional information will be added to the Wiarton Woolen Mills page.
